Dolphin Energy is responsible for supplying natural gas from Al Ain (United Arab Emirates) to the water desalination plant in Fujairah, a total distance of 210 Km. Our scope of supply was to provide

redundant Kingfisher RTUs for each of the 8 block valve stations along the pipeline. Each RTU comprises of redundant power supplies and processors providing 100% availability of the system even under failure and severe environmental desert conditions.

In this application video cameras are mounted on top of water storage reservoirs and video capture is triggered by PIRs (infra red movement detectors) mounted at the top of stairwells and/or trip switches connected to reservoir hatches. When triggered, the RTU is set to capture and store 3 pictures at 2 second intervals. Pictures are transferred to the host SCADA system over the SCADA radio network, or using GSM modems.
