Option F - Fibre SerialPopular

Features:

The fibre optic option board (F) provides an RS232C serial interface via a fibre optic cable. A fibre optic port is treated the same way as a standard serial port except a fibre optic cable is used for the communications medium.

A fibre optic link offers excellent electrical isolation and a high data rate. Two fibre optic cables are required for each fibre optic port.

Two female ST connectors are fitted to the option board, one for Transmit (TX), and one for Recieve (RX)
