 Applications for Kingfisher RTUs in rail transport systems include monitoring of station platforms, rail communication systems and train safety and control systems.
One large train control application involved more than 200 Kingfisher RTUs that were used in the management of traction control (rail electrification). The RTUs were used at track side locations for the monitoring and control of isolation of the high voltage supply that powers the trains.
